Philosophy for students, everywhere
Agora of Minds
A community where school and university students learn philosophy, question boldly and sharpen their critical thinking through friendly competition.
About us
The modern agora
In ancient Greece, the agora was the square where people met to talk, disagree and think together. Agora of Minds brings that spirit to today's students.
We are a project for school and university students who want to learn philosophy and improve their critical thinking. We run competitions, discussions and challenges that make big ideas approachable and fun.
Open to everyone
Whether you are a curious school student or a university thinker, there is a place for you.
Three languages
Our events run in three languages, so more students can take part in their own words.
A large community
Around 100,000 people across our groups share ideas and learn from each other.
Collaborations
Think bigger, together
We welcome schools, universities, student clubs, educators and organizations that share our belief in curiosity and open dialogue.
Schools and universities
Bring philosophy competitions and critical-thinking challenges to your students.
Media and communities
Reach thousands of engaged students by partnering with our groups.
Joint projects
Co-host events, create content or propose an idea. We are open to new formats.
Competitions
Where ideas compete
Our competitions test how well you reason, argue and express ideas. They take place online and offline, in three languages.
5+ competitions
We have already held more than five competitions, each one bigger than the last.
500 participants
Five hundred students have taken part and put their thinking to the test.
Online and offline
Join from home or meet fellow thinkers in person.
Lumina
Our international competition about philosophy and quotes. Participants interpret famous ideas, explain what they mean and show how they connect to modern life.
Our goal
Teach students how to think
Our aim is to make philosophy something students enjoy and use: a way to ask better questions, weigh arguments fairly and form their own views.
Critical thinking
Build the habit of questioning assumptions and testing ideas.
Philosophy for all
Make great ideas clear and welcoming for school and university students.
A global network
Connect young thinkers across languages and countries.
